Set-up is easy. Simply insert five AA batteries into the battery pack at the back of the head-set, and slide the power switch to turn on the goggles. Once the screen display lights up inside of the right eye-piece, you can fit the goggles to your child's head by adjusting the soft rubber straps around top and sides.
EyeClops Night Vision goggles come equipped with a hinged, flip-up eye-piece that can be opened when the goggles are turned off, or closed when the goggles are in use. Your child can choose between the maximum surveillance mode which emits a barely-visible ring of red LEDs around the eyepiece so they can see up to 50 feet in absolute darkness, or go for the stealth mode to remain completely invisible while they explore the dark landscape immediately around them. A small switch on the side of the goggle head-set allows them to switch from a black-and-white to a green screen display.
 Enhance Your Nighttime Stealth Operations
The futuristic design of the durable plastic head-piece adds to the fun of these exciting night vision goggles. Soft rubber molding around the goggles and adjustable straps across the top and sides makes them comfortable and easy to wear.
While the EyeClops Night Vision goggles provide a crisp, clear image of dark landscapes, they should always be used under adult supervision. Because the display screen is small and provides limited peripheral vision, these goggles should only be used in environments that are free of potential tripping hazards. As a nice safety feature, the goggles' handy flip-up eye-piece over the left eye provides immediate access to normal vision if your child becomes disoriented or needs to take a break from viewing through the small display screen located in the right eye-piece.
Durable and lightweight, these fun goggles work so well that you might just find yourself borrowing them from your child so you can have your turn enjoying some super stealth, covert nighttime missions of you own!
 What's in the Box
EyeClops headpiece with goggles, battery pack and adjustable straps.

Spy Night Scope

Wild Planet Spy Gear? M. Tyre (Auckland, New Zealand)
I bought one for my son at 5 yrs and he still loves it at 6.5 yrs - they no longer sell them in NZ but I so wanted one for my 5 yr old nephew that I was glad to find them on Amazon!

Much ado about nothing by .. gracie (USA)
I ordered this as a Christmas gift for my 9 year old grandson...While I didn't expect it to be state of the art..I did expect it to live up to its hype. It did not. My grandson complained of not being able to see anything..hard to focus....a piece of colored plastic over a cheap pair of glasses would have produced the same "night vision."

My kids loved it, encourages pretend by .. Enzamatic (Indiana, USA)
My kids really liked this. I gave it to my son for his 5th birthday. He and his 3yo brother love to play pretend spies or ship captains, etc with these as regular binoculars or in the dark with the "night scope" (flashlight) feature. They don't know what real night visions looks like and anyone who expects real night vision for a kids toy at this price is going to be disappointed, but most people wouldn't be expecting that! Doesn't matter to the kids, they just like this toy.

this stinks! by .. ()
This toy sucks! The ''invisible'' light is just a light! People notice it and it is not fun. trust me

A good gadget by .. ()
If you want to get a good look at what's crawling around in your backyard at night, if you have a strong desire to play a prank on your older brother at midnight, or if you just want a way to get to the fridge without using that REALLY, REALLY noisy light switch, has Wild Planet got a toy for You!!!! The spy night scope is good for taking a closer look at things at night. It features magnificaton and a pop-up light. And for those covert missions, there is a green stealth light that dimms-down the total radius of the light beam(and it looks stealthy). I've had this for a while, and it only takes 2 AAA batteries. And for those of you who are REALLY into Spy Gear (like I am), check out the SPY MICRO KIT, the XP-4 SPY PEN, the XP-5 SPY WALLET, and the SPY BUG.

Wild Planet Hyper Dash

Wild Planet Hyper Dash

Release Date : 2007-08-01
Publisher : Wild Planet
Company : Wild Planet

Features

Consists of one electronic tagger and five different colored and numbered targets

Great for improving math skills, athletic skills and just having fun

Choose from four game modes to challenge your speed, skill, memory, coordination and teamwork

Play solo, head-to-head, or in teams

Play at varied skill levels

Product Description
It's the electronic game that's as fast as you are. Opening the battery compartment requires a small Phillips head screw driver, which means an adult needs to change the batteries. This keeps batteries in the right place during active play, but it also means that changing batteries on the fly requires you to have a screwdriver with you.
The manual is clear and concise, with descriptions of how to play and a list of all the special commands the Hyper Voice issues, so any child can be up and running in just a few minutes. There's no button to turn the unit off, but it quickly shuts itself off when not in use to save battery life.
 Getting Moving Quickly
The electronic tagger plays upbeat music and calls out voice commands to control the game, while players following the commands race against the clock to tag targets identified by color and number. Kids can play solo, up to four players can compete head-to-head, or up to eight players can work cooperatively in teams of two. There's even a level where kids need to solve addition and subtraction problems to figure out which target to strike next.
With no complex set-up and no complicated directions to follow, younger children get started playing Hyper Dash quickly. Since players control where the five targets are positioned, there are infinite ways to play Hyper Dash. Combined with the fact that Hyper Dash offers four games to choose from with increasingly difficult levels to master, and it's easy to see why even older, more experienced players (including parents!) stay excited about this game.
 Four-Games-in-One
The original game, Hyper Dash, features the Hyper Voice calling out commands. Four different levels allow the players' skills to progress. Level one includes only colors in the calls. The calls on level two are a little faster and include both colors and numbers, while level three adds special commands like "Double Strike," "Triple Strike," and "Reverse. " Level four features the "CompuStrike" call, which require kids to solve basic math problems, such as "four plus one" or "three minus two. "
In Team Dash, a special command indicates when the Hyper Dash unit should be handed off, turning the race against the clock into a relay. The games Micro Dash and Team Micro Dash set out sequences that get progressively longer and trickier, providing a challenging test of memory.
The Hyper Dash unit keeps track of times and scores, and the Hyper Voice announces the winner at the end of the game, cutting down on arguments. With only one Hyper Dash tagger, kids will have to wait their turn to play in multiple player games. This can be both a lesson in patience and an opportunity to cheer others on.
RFID Technology for a Flexible, Durable Game
Hyper Dash uses radio frequency identification (RFID) to recognize the targets. The same technology is used to track packages and to identify books and DVDs in many libraries. This means that a wireless signal connects the Hyper Dash unit and the targets, so there's no need to strike targets with force.
While the Hyper Dash tagger unit seems incredibly durable, it is made of plastic. Just because RFID technology means kids can tag targets lightly, it doesn't mean they will. Our one concern about the game is the possibility that hard play will damage the tagger over time.
With RFID, there's no limit to how far apart you set the targets. You can set them up at opposite ends of a football field for a serious test of endurance, or close together requiring fancy footwork. You can even them up next to each other to see who has the quickest hands. This flexibility makes Hyper Dash appropriate for both indoor and outdoor spaces.
 Award-Winning Educational Fun
Kids have so much fun playing Hyper Dash that they don't realize how much they're learning. Parents will love the way Hyper Dash combines active play with lessons that support color and number recognition, basic math skills. The game's format also inspires better listening and improves kids' coordination. It's no wonder that Hyper Dash has won an iParenting Award and a Seal of Excellence Award from Creative Child Magazine, along with several other honors recognizing it as an innovative, educational toy.
 What's in the Box
Hyper Dash unit and five plastic targets.

Customer reviews

return problems by .. K. Musolff (Colorado)
My 6 Year old was so excited to play this game. When he received it for his birthday, he opened it up, played it once and LOVED it! Then it broke. The controller would not turn back on, even after 2 battery changes. Very disappointing.

Double becomes a single by .. Mom of Two (Florida)
My children got the double Hyper dash for Christmas from Grandma. Only one of the wands works. The other will turn on, but will not recognize any targets and just goes back to the main menu or shuts off completely. New batteries did not help.

In this game, you set up the four targets whereever you want. Then you set the game to play with how many players you have. The wand calls out a color and you run to it and hit the target with the wand. Then it will call out another. Once you finish the course (averages 45-60 seconds, depending on how close you put the targets to each other), it tells you your time. Once all players have completed it, it repeats all the times and announces the winner. There are other modes that call out the target by number, or it will say reverse (which means you go back to the last target) or by math problem (7-3, so you have to strike 4).

So far, the other wand hasn't broken, and the kids enjoy it. I like that it's not another "sit down and stare at a screen toy". This gets the kids up and running around. It's good exercise but it's fun too. I would recommend this toy, but I do wish the other wand worked.

My sister got this for her kids too, and just like mine, only one wand worked. I'd rate it 4-5 stars if both wands worked.

Absolutely great by .. View larger. Digital Microscope with Three Magnification Levels
The Digital Microscope set requires three AA batteries (not included). A screwdriver is needed to open up the battery cover, and after they are installed, pushing the on/off button turns on the necessary light.
We put in the prepared slide of a flower petal and turned the focusing ring until we saw it show up in the microscope as a pretty random pattern of spiked edges. With three magnification levels at 100x, 300x, and 900x, we were able to take three distinct looks at the petal.
Although the microscope provided loads of fun, we did notice a couple shortcomings. First, the eyepiece of the microscope was very small, making it difficult to peer into and, second, although made out of metal, the base still felt slightly unstable. Nonetheless, these minor issues certainly did not prevent us from using the microscope, but did detract slightly from the overall user experience.
Web Cam Lets You Connect Microscope to Computer
Included in the Digital Microscope Kit is a web cam that can be used to observe large objects that don't fit under the microscope. In addition, by simply screwing on an adapter and installing the included software, you can connect the web cam directly onto the top of the microscope, letting you see the microscopic images on your computer screen. This is, of course, a toy microscope so we didn't expect professional results, but we still wish that the images on screen could have been a little clearer. Additionally, because there is a split-second delay to send the information from the microscope to the computer, it can be difficult to focus.
Once connected to your computer, you can take photos and capture videos of all everything you are looking at under the microscope by simply clicking a button.
Create Calendars, Cards, Posters, and More!
With the images you save, you can easily create calendars, cards, and other projects. Since the software includes templates, creating a project book is as easy as dragging and dropping images into the predefined spaces.
The software requires Windows 98/ME/200/XP or above, a Pentium 200MHz processor or faster, 64MB of RAM or higher, a video card with 4MB of RAM minimum, 24-bit display, a CD-ROM drive, and an available USB port.
Activity Booklet Helps Get You Started
An included activity booklet includes six projects to help novices get started. These activities include observing leaves, pond water, and crystals. The kit includes eight prepared slides with items such as an ostrich feather, aloe gel, celery, and tree bark. And of course, you can get anything you want and place it on an empty slide to look at it in full detail with the microscope. The included tweezers and plastic bags lets you handle your slides carefully so you'll be sure to get a good specimen.
 What's in the Box
Digital microscope, detachable web cam with USB cable, stand for web cam, eight prepared slides, eight blank slides, eight slide covers, tweezers, four plastic bag, activity book, software CD-ROM.

Included web cam can be used to observe large objects that don't fit under the microscope. A. Polk (Southern Oregon)
"Did I buy a dud?" I keep asking myself that question.

I actually bought two of the Planet Toys Planet Earth Digital Microscope Kits and I'm wondering if I should break into the second one to see if I just have a bad webcam or if the webcam is just the weak link in this set.

First the pro's:

1. The microscope is easy to use.

2. The microscope has adequate lighting after you put in the required 3 AA batteries. You'll need a very small phillips screwdriver for this part.

3. The microscope tilts for easier viewing angles.

4. Slides are included; some prepared and some not.

5. The instruction booklet has some basic setup info and suggestions for activities. Easy to read.

6. Nice magnification for a plastic microscope that's really a toy.

Now the con's:

1. The webcam is awful! *See my uploaded picture of the webcam and the uploaded image.

I tried several different items at distances ranging from 2' to 2cm and NOTHING seemed to make the difference. Vista recognized the camera and gave me an image, while XP installed the camera, but gave me no images. The camera doesn't have any adjustments on it; it's simply a plug and play usb type with a very, very low resolution.

2.Without the webcam function, you really can't enjoy the software that comes with the microscope.

3. If you pay more than $15 for it (luckily I didn't...) you are not going to get your money's worth. I think the microscope and slides are probably worth the 15, but the webcam and tweezers are not.

4. The plastic body of the microscope isn't heavy-duty and when changing magnifications it feels as though that part might break if not treated gingerly.

My conclusion... if you want a simple to use, kid-friendly microscope for under $15 - buy it. But if you want to use the webcam to take photos of what you see under the microscope, don't bother getting this kit.

fun AND educational! by .. bookworm74 (los angeles, CA USA)
I really can't say enough about this toy. I originally bought it for my nephew (7 years old) and he immediately loved it. I say "originally" because his older brother (9 years old) AND younger sister (6 years) both enjoy it equally as much. The most amazing thing about it is the age range. This item is easy enough to use for a 5 year old, but feature rich enough to hold the attention of a child far older. I have seen it in specialty stores for 79.99, so amazon is definitely a bargain. With Christmas coming up, I plan on buying several of these as gifts!

Don't Hesitate - this is a Great little product! by .. javajunki ()
This is a great little product that kids and adults will enjoy! Both my husband and self had microscopes as kids - the little kit with a mirror - but both wished this had been around back then. FAR superior and a great price.

First of all, this is a sturdy little unit built with kids in mind. The chrome base is solid and keeps everything steady. The microscope itself is a plastic but solid and perfect for young hands [also easy to keep clean as budding scientists are likely to get icky stuff involved]. The slides are either clear [to make your own preparations] or have titles - plus they are not sharp [although caution is still advised]. There is a built in light [no mirrors!] that provides decent illumination. Power is sufficient to get a good look. As you might expect, this is not a professional scope so don't expect an image like that of an electron microscope - but on the other hand, it certainly provides a decent view of the world around us.

The book provides some great - easy to read age appropriate suggestions on more activities for kids that are old enough to go it alone. The box and entire kit are attractive and if you haven't bought the video set it is a wonderful way to get kids excited about what they see on the series [wonderful series].

Where this REALLY excels is the handheld camera. Just plug it in and go. I've not used this enough to put a full review because the software requires online access and the computer we had in that room doesn't connect to the internet [we keep that one in another area].

All in all - an EXCELLENT product, great for homeschoolers or those that want to share the excitement of life with kids.

Entry-level tool/toy - plastic, batteries not included, good value by .. A. Dent (USA)
It's actually good, FOR THE PRICE. All the criticism or not so enthusiastic comments that follow should be viewed while keeping in mind that you don't pay a lot for this kit. If you would like to test your kid(s) scientific leanings or you just want to encourage or stimulate their curiosity, this is one inexpensive way to do it.

As happens to be the case with some of these entry-level offerings, the goal is to give you what appears to be 'a lot' for not so much money. This specific kit has, besides the microscope and its 'must have' accessories (slides) also a pair of tweezers, a CD-ROM with some moderately-useful software and, of course, the camera.

The microscope itself can magnify things up to about 1000 times. This sounds good but the kids do need to put some work into slide preparation if they are to see anything that looks remotely interesting. A good microscope should be able to do 2000 times magnifications [please see the 'comments' section for a discussion on what is reasonable to expect from a good microscope - note added on Dec. 7] but, remember, this is an entry-level unit and it's inexpensive so it's good for what you are paying.

The camera can be attached to the microscope and lets you shoot some low-res pictures of what the microscope sees. It connects to the computer through a USB port. I was not impressed by it and I see it as a gimmick because it could have been easily integrated into the microscope's body. The fact that it could be used as a web camera is more of a distraction from the microscope than a true enhancement. I wish the resolution was a bit higher. The way it is, it can be a little frustrating and makes you wish you had something better.

The book and the CD-ROM are okay, not great but okay. My expectation was to see the kids actually looking at things themselves rather than reading about what you could see if you really had some expensive tools and you really knew what you were doing. The software on the CD-ROM should help my kid with a science project, should he choose to do one on a topic that requires magnification.

In 'real-life', my kids played with it for one hour or two after we opened the box than they came back to it a couple more times and we worked together on preparing some interesting slides. It's not as easy as it appears on TV. They agree that they would consider the microscope next time they need to do a science project.

Given that I paid less than I would for the typical PS3 or Xbox game, I do not regret this purchase.

P.S. - You will need 3 AA batteries.

P.P.S. - I am now ordering a second kit for one of their friends' birthday.

EyeClops Bug Vacuum

EyeClops Bug Vacuum, Green

Publisher : Jakks
Company : Eyeclops

Features

The EyeClops Bug Vacuum accessory for the EyeClops Bionic Eye is agentle vacuum that kids can use to safely collect insects and small specimens in a secure chamber

Simply attach the specimen chamber to the eyepiece of your Bionic Eye for a big look at small creatures

Works with both the Bionic Eye and BioniCam versions of Eyeclops (sold separately)

Attach Bug Vac chamber to Eyeclops for Extreme Close Up

Check out insects under extreme magnification with your eyeclops Bug Vacuum

Product Description
The EyeClops Bug Vac accessory for the EyeClops Bionic Eye is a gentle vacuum that kids can use to safely collect insects and small specimens in a secure chamber. Karen U (MA)
My mother got this for my 4.5 year old this year on my recommendation. I am very impressed.

The design is simple. The eyeclops unit has the eye, a "brain" power pack which takes 5 AA batteries, and a cord which plugs into the yellow composite input on your TV, all connected (the cord doesn't come off, so it can't be lost). The white part of the eye - the "iris" they call it, screws on and off of the unit itself, allowing you to adjust the focal length of whatever you are putting the eyeclops up against. The idea is that you put the eyeclops in direct contact with what you want to look at and adjust the "iris" to focus it. It also comes with a petrie style dish and a tube you can use to look at liquids and other messy things.

The picture is amazing for a gadget like this. I hooked it up to my 1080p 52" HDTV and was very happy with the images, though that size TV is perhaps slightly large for the resolution it outputs, its certainly quite viewable. It looks equally cool on my 32" CRT.

Operationally speaking, its easy to use, there is only one button - on/off, but it does take a gentle touch to find the right distance for the camera to focus, as it has a fixed focal length. However, as an adult I had no problem doing this, my 4.5 year old does not have the fine motor skills to do this well, however, from the look on her face and the long list of things she keeps bringing to look at it, its not a big deal that she needs my help with it. If you do buy this for a preschooler, be prepared to play cameraman.

Technicalities out of the way, the concept is soooo cool. I played with it for 2 hours by myself when I first hooked it up! The magnification is amazing, I can see individual hairs on my cheek, fibers on my arm I can't tell are there, the individual fibers (not threads) that make up my sofa, etc. A great tool for talking to the kids about how things are made up, and to allow them to explore their world. My childhood self is seriously jealous. We have had a blast finding different things to look at and my 2 year old now says 'Ew GROOOOOSSSS!' every time.

I uploaded some pictures to check out.

eyeclops by .. Terri (Crescent City, California United States)
We just got this at Costco today, and it also had the bonus stand. Let me tell you, this is really cool. We paid half the price this website is offering, so look around before getting it online. It is a cool item that all kids will enjoy. I would say it was good for kids over 5 til about 12 years of age. My son loves it. Hair is nasty to look at especially on our 46 inch TV! It's easy to use, just plug into the front of your TV set, and pick something you want to look at. Skin is gross to look at, especially hairy skin, yuck! We even looked at our cat's paw pads, and they were really cool, with wrinkles that you can't see with the naked eye. C. Clayten (Phoenix, AZ)
This gadget has inspired me to write my first Amazon review.

I purchased the Bionic Eye for my 6 year old last May, and we have equally enjoyed finding new things to view (most recently--chocolate chip cookies!). I cannot recommend this toy more enthusiastically. Easy to set up, easy to use, and super fun. I even brought it to work one day and hooked it up to our plasma TV in the conference room... it provided serious amusement for my coworkers.

Great toy for any age! by .. ImNotLisa ()
This is such a fun fun toy. It's educational... were amazed and kept looking for items to look at. It takes a bit to figure out how to focus the thing, and we didn't use the little plastic dishes to put things in, but it's just amazing to see your skin.. the carpet (ew!), lint, anything!!! Buy it.. we even took ours to school, and after our class of 1st graders played with it, two other teachers borrowed it to use in their classrooms!

Enter a world of liliputians by .. Lou A. (NY USA)
This is a great "toy" for kids as well as adults. It takes some time to connect to your tv (I used a Panasonic 42" Plasma) and learn how to focus. The items can easily move out of focus so it takes a steady hand. However, the images are amazing! We were able to see stuff we wouldn't be able to see without the aid of a microscope (and we all know how difficult that is to use!). From denim to coins to skin (I couldn't believe all of the discolorations on my skin - I got a bit nervous that I should see a dermotologist. But when I looked at my arm without the Eyeclops, no possible cancerous growths were evident)

The Eyeclops is a great toy (tool) to use to explore a world we almost never get to see. Highly recommended (I ordered from Amazon for $40) but look for it on sale.

It was fun--for the first day by .. John R. Prince (Fort Worth, TX United States)
I purchased this for my son last Christmas (I paid around 40.00 new for it on Amazon, but noticed the price has doubled). We can great fun with it until the next day it broke. I know things happen such as this, and it was probably just "bad luck" for me---but I would not advise paying more than $20.00 for this.

EyeClops Bionic Eye

EyeClops Bionic Eye Multizoom, Green

Publisher : Jakks
Company : Eyeclops

Features

. To operate, simply insert five AA batteries into the "Brain Case," attach the video wire to your TV's video input jack, and turn on the power switch, and you're ready to go!
With the easy-to-hold magnifying lens in one hand, you can focus on any number of everyday objects, such as coins, fabric, your pet's fur and even your own hair and skin. The images will appear on your television, and a zoom dial offers either 100x, 200x or 400x magnification. The EyeClops comes with a focusing lens, a viewing dish and a tube to enable your child to explore a variety of everyday objects safely and easily.
Contagious Fun for the Whole Family
The excitement of seeing objects in your child's everyday world magnified to up to 400 times is contagious and sure to be a hit with whole family. With no software to upload and minimal set-up, the EyeClops can be put to use almost instantly.
The hand-held magnification "eye" is fun to hold and makes it easy for your child to explore their world. Viewing the magnified images on your TV screen in full, vivid color encourages your child to take learning into their own hands and provides numerous opportunities for parents and children to play fun and educational games together. And because the EyeClops is powered by five AA batteries, your child can enjoy several uninterrupted hours of exploration without the need for recharging or replacement.
Although the EyeClops is extremely easy to set up, it does take a little practice to make things come into focus. However, with the aid of the simple focusing gauge on the I.R.I.S. lens that surrounds the magnifying lens, this initial awkwardness is quickly overcome.
On the lowest setting the LEDs occasionally proved to be too bright for viewing lighter-colored objects, and these images could not be seen clearly on the TV screen. On the higher magnification settings, however, this did not seem to be a problem and textures and colors came through flawlessly.
 What's in the Box
EyeClops Bionic Eye and Brain Case, I.R.I.S. lens attachment, viewing dish and tube, and base.

Customer reviews

Fantastic Edutainment Toy by .. Pam Tee ()
A friend said his daughter (10) wanted a microscope and I suggested that he consider the Eyeclops instead. Then I realized that I hadn't reviewed it. [I mention this so you know that I really like the Eyeclops; enough to recommend it to friends]

===============

Last year my SIL bought this for the children and I have to say the whole family has used it and enjoyed it. My husband has used it to read tiny inscriptions on jewelry. I've used it in conjunction with the kids' science unit on crystals -- we looked at salt and sugar. And, of course, we've used it to look at untold numbers of warts, moles, freckles and scabs.

To use it you just take it out of the box and plug it into the television. What you see is a magnified image on the television screen. This ability to share is something you can't do with most moderately priced microscopes. The picture is in color, although every once in awhile it will be in black and white. We haven't figured out why that happens but it's usually fixed by jiggling the connections.

Magnification-wise there's not a great many options, but you can go up to about four hundred which is good enough for youngsters to learn more about the world around them. It's a cool edu-tainment toy ... and it's a heck of alot easier to look at scabs if you don't have to cut them off your body and put them on a slide :)

Awesome Toy! by .. Kevin L. Waters (Summerville, SC USA)
This is one of those toys that I play with when my children are at school. The only thing that would make it better is if it were wireless! I bought this for my 7 year old daughter who loves it. Fantastic value, great learning toy.

Captures the attention of both adults and kids by .. Mom of 2byz (Manassas, VA)
We purchased this toy for our then 5 year old son last Christmas. It was so simple to plug into the tv and then voila - let the fun begin. The magnification makes everyday objects so interesting to look at, and much easier then trying to use a mircroscope. With two boys, it became a competition of who can find the grossest thing to look at, skin, scabs, warts, moles, wrinkles. Whenever we bring it out Eyeclops draws the attention of everyone around and everyone wants a chance to use it. It is a good way to spark the curiousity and we've enjoyed this product. Occasionally it is hard to focus if it isn't sitting directly on/over the item you are trying to magnify, but that is only a minor setback, because the kids quickly move on to find something different to check out.

Wow! How Fun! Amazing! by .. Maegan G. Proehl (Chicago, IL USA)
My 6 year old daughter received this last year for Christmas. When we get it out, it's all kinds of fun. You'll hear many sound effects - cool, ewwww, stuff like that. We put it on the carpet, our skin, furniture, toys, blankets, spices, etc. It's amazing. It's almost like a microscope - that you can take anywhere (as long as the cord reaches). My daughter has gotten it out at family gatherings and everyone is always amazed - and interested... "try it on this, focus on that" And it's handle and durability makes it a better option for kids than a microscope. Lots of fun and great price!

My boys love seeing a bionic or at least magnified world by .. Sherry (New York, NY)
We first saw this toy at a friends house, when it kept 2 six year olds and 2 four year olds buy for 2 hours!
EyeClops headpiece with goggles, battery pack and adjustable straps.

awesome:EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles

These goggles are awesome!

The body seems durable enough, but wouldn't take a hard beating. The screen is very nice, but doesn't allow a very wide field of view. Actually, it's very narrow. The "glow" from the high-powered LEDs around the camera is very dim, barely noticable.
I did not experience any disorientation from the camera being centered and the viewfinder over my right eye.
It has great range, but makes it hard to navigate.
The goggles are comfortable to wear and virtually seal light in and out.
They are lightweight, lighter than I expected!

The night vision part is great, but the field of view is pretty bad (horrible). If you are looking for a professional system that will allow you to navigate with ease, these are not for you.

All in all, these are a great buy. I am an adult and I have never had so much fun. I ordered some for a camping trip and we had such a blast. I have never had a better hide and go seek game ever and it was so much fun just walking around seeing everything different. It comes in two different views and I like it in the black and white over the green night vision setting. Its not heavy or anything and once you get the sizing right for your head your good to go. I don't know how the other person didn't get it turned on, once you put the batteries it works fine. The batteries really is the biggest draw back becuase it takes so many, but I think it is well worth it. My family and friends are all now trying to steal them on me, but I won't let them. This thing is awesome!

Infrared Stealth Goggles review by Graham, WA USA

I wasn't sure what to expect when I put this thing on. The Eyeclops only lets you see out of the right eye and pretty much blocks your left eye which affects your depth perception so don't think you can drive with your headlights off while wearing these. I did get used to the 'pirate's view' and the image that comes through the screen is amazing. You really can see in total darkness and flipping on the IR 'spotlight' really increases the range and brightness of objects that are closer. These are just as good and costs a lot less than military night vision goggles.

Manistique, Michigan review EyeClops Night Vision

I bought these thinking this would be a cheaper alternative to expensive night vision. I made a good choice because they are excellent for the price. But when I bought them, I did not notice that the viewing screen was on the right side and since I have a prosthetic right eye, I can't even use these things. I had to turn them upside down just to see what the night vision looked like but I can't wear them on my head like that. And now I can't return them even because I tried to modify them and in doing so, I kind of broke the goggles. The night vision still works fine but the goggles are messed up and un-returnable. So bottom line, only buy if you have vision in your right eye.

Eugene Oregon review Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles

I got this today and with much excitement I stripped away the packaging.
First I found some batteries, 5 AA Lithiums was my choice. Light and better runtime, next I opened the battery pack in the back with a screwdriver and plopped them in. After skimming the manual I ran to the attic. The display looks like an inch and a half when turned on. I prefer the green setting over the grey, the array of IR LED's work great for looking far away. The attic I was crawling around in was about 50ft long and I could clearly make out the far wall, I could even read the text on the boxes. In complete darkness I would walk slow because of the narrow view but WOW I can see great!!! It takes a minute to get use to but I love it.
I work for a LED Micro light company in Oregon so we have IR clip mounted lights laying around. I mounted 4 to the goggles and low and behold I could see clearer all the way to the end of the wall.
I'm off to hunt rats tonight Look out!
